Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR)

1. Define BMR.
BMR is a measure of your "resting burn rate". It is the number of calories you burn in a day without taking in account of exercise.

2. What is your estimated BMR?
My estimated BMR according to the BMR calculator is 1337.35

3. What does this information mean to you?
To be honest, this information on my BMR doesn't mean a whole lot. Other than it telling me the number of calories to take in a day if I want to keep my current body weight.

4. What does BMR not take into account?
Genetics
Your activity
What kind of foods you eat
Your health
Body composition

5. How can you use this information?
I can use this information to maintain my caloric intake, if I want to lose or gain weight. I can use this information as the foundation of my caloric intake and my exercise. Understanding that each individual is different, so that I may need to exercise more than another person might.
